My students recently completed a watercolor food study, and for many of them, this was their very first time using high-quality paint and paper. At the beginning of the project, they were nervous and honestly a bit intimidated. Watercolor can feel overwhelming when you've never had access to materials that respond the way they're supposed to. By the end of the unit, the change was incredible. I watched their confidence grow as they learned how the paint moved, how the colors layered, and how to control the brush in ways they didn't realize they were capable of. The higher-quality supplies didn't just make the artwork better. They helped the students see their own talent more clearly.\r\n\r\nOur students don't always get opportunities to work with materials like this, so having access to them meant a lot. It gave them the chance to experience art at a level they usually only see online or in bigger schools. Moments like these remind me how powerful a donation can be in a small classroom like ours.\r\n\r\nI hope future donors continue to choose classrooms like mine. Even though we may be one of the \"little guys,\" our students are just as deserving, hardworking, and grateful.
