The flash cards give students repeated practice with basic math facts, helping them improve their accuracy, speed, and confidence. I have seen students become more willing to participate and challenge themselves as they begin to recognize facts more quickly and rely less on counting strategies. Flash cards also make it easy for students to practice with partners, independently, or in small groups, which allows me to provide additional support to students who need it.\r\n\r\nHaving an adequate supply of paper has also been extremely valuable in my classroom. Students are able to show their work, practice new skills, solve problems step-by-step, and learn from their mistakes without worrying about limited materials. Paper allows me to provide additional practice and create activities that meet the different learning needs of my students. Together, these resources have helped create a classroom where students have more opportunities to practice, build confidence, and strengthen their foundational math skills. Even though flash cards and paper may seem like simple supplies, having them readily available has made a meaningful difference in my students' daily learning and overall success.","fullyFundedDate":1786306177534,"projectUrl":"project/every-problem-starts-with-a-blank-page/10419588/","projectTitle":"Every Problem Starts with a Blank Page","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Podkowka","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9115356_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1711575369737","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9115356"},{"teacherId":1652412,"projectId":7276611,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous support of our classroom through the donation of our 3D printer. The 3D printer has transformed our classroom into a space where creativity, innovation, and problem-solving come to life. Students are developing valuable skills in engineering, design thinking, collaboration, and critical thinking that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nWhether they are creating scientific models, engineering prototypes, mathematical manipulatives, or unique solutions to classroom challenges, our students are excited to learn because they can see their ideas become reality.
