The new musical instruments have become a key part of our speech and language lessons. We use them during circle time to work on listening, turn-taking, and expressive language through rhythm games and songs. \r\n\r\nWhen the instruments first arrived, the students were so excited. Even students who are not typically engaged in circle time were interested in participating. \r\n\r\nWe will continue to use the instruments in themed lessons to build vocabulary, expand utterances, and work on social communication.
