Thankfully, your generous donation has allowed me to teach them one more tool for their technology toolboxes! Now they know how to download, upload, sort, and edit on their own. In this assignment, students research a geometric concept, collaborate with peers, give and receive feedback, create an artwork, and build a PowerPoint presentation explaining their process. The compasses, markers, and colored pencils are essential for their artwork, and the organizers and pencil supplies make it easy for students to access what they need without feeling awkward about borrowing materials. These resources help make geometry more hands-on and accessible for all students.\r\n\r\nStudents didn't react loudly to new supplies, but they show appreciation through how responsibly they use and look after the materials. The materials are all accounted for and are treated with respect. Moving forward students will continue using the tools in current geometry lessons as we connect what we learn to real-life applications. This year has allowed me to provide more opportunities for students to see geometry in new, practical ways, and your support makes that possible. Tissue, paper towel, Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer were bought and provided by generous donations! Students are able to blow their nose into actual tissue instead of rolls of toilet paper that I use to have to scrounge. Desks can be cleaned routinely with the Clorox wipes. Hand can be sanitized with the donated the hand sanitizer. Now, every calculator is charged and ready to go, which means we can dive straight into exploring concepts like graphing functions, analyzing data, and solving real-world problems without interruption.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students is the reliability and independence these charging stations provide. They love knowing that when they walk into class, their tools are ready for them. This has boosted their confidence and engagement—especially during activities that require technology, like graphing quadratic functions or modeling statistics. For many students, these calculators make abstract math tangible, and having them consistently available has made lessons more interactive and meaningful.\r\n\r\nIn the past, we would have to rotate charging calculators due to only having one charging dock station (charge 10 calculators at a time).
