Students earn school currency throughout the month by consistently making good choices, helping peers, and going above and beyond in their daily routines. On the last Friday of every month, our students get to experience the super store. Having a fully stocked store with high-interest items has motivated the students to earn lots of money.\r\n\r\nWhen the boxes arrived, my 5th graders were absolutely buzzing with excitement! Although they asked to see what was inside of them, we kept this a secret until their very first store! During our very first store day, we watched students proudly counting their earnings, calculating what they could afford, and carefully deciding whether to spend their money right away or save up for bigger items. It has turned abstract concepts like budgeting, delayed gratification, and financial literacy into a tangible, joyful experience.\r\n\r\n\r\nYour generosity didn't just fill our shelves; it built a thriving mini-society in our classroom where my 5th graders get to show off just how capable, responsible, and amazing they truly are every single day.
