After all of the items came in, I took a day where there was no school to come in and build the new furniture and hang a lot of the new posters. I set up the lamps and rearranged student desks. When they walked in the next day, they were in shock and awe. They left school on Friday and it was in its old state: sad, boring, pretty depressing. When they came back on that following Tuesday, it was a total transformation. \r\n\r\nI personally am so happy and thankful for what feels like my new classroom. I know that the students are also very happy with it as well. They can see that I put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into my classroom and they appreciate it. \r\n\r\nBefore we went on winter break, I did a student survey and one of the biggest comments was about the classroom overheard lights being too harsh and it being too dark with all of the lights off. I was able to fix those problems with this grant. When students saw the transformation, they were able to see that I took their words to heart and that I truly care and am invested.","fullyFundedDate":1765566956905,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-environemnt/9907662/","projectTitle":"Classroom Environemnt","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tate","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10355713"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_70176","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2037,"numTeachers":88,"percentFrplEligible":41,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":27,"percentIndigenous":5,"percentLatinx":45,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"23.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":71.4,"schoolId":70176,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Maricopa High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Maricopa High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/maricopa-unified-school-district/maricopa-high-school/70176"}
