Our new bikes, outdoor balls, and basketball hoop have already brought so much excitement and joy to our students. We use the equipment during outdoor play to encourage our students to run, ride, throw, kick, and practice new physical skills while also learning how to share, take turns, and play safely with their friends.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new equipment, they were SO excited! They immediately wanted to try everything, and the bikes and basketball hoop quickly became favorites. One of my favorite moments was watching the students take turns riding the bikes and cheering each other on. Some students were already confident riders, while others were practicing how to steer, stop, and navigate around their friends. It was wonderful to see them encouraging one another and celebrating each other's accomplishments.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our school year, we are working on building independence, cooperation, and confidence through play. Our next steps are to continue giving students opportunities to practice taking turns, following rules, solving problems with their friends, and developing their gross motor skills. These new resources give us so many opportunities to learn through active, hands-on play, and I am so grateful that our students now have these materials to explore and enjoy.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our preschoolers and helping make our outdoor play time more engaging, active, and fun!
