The books, reeds and oil you provided us with, are key to our learning and I cannot thank you enough for putting them into the hands of these well-deserving musicians-in-the-making. We are learning more than music. We are learning community!\r\n\r\n\"Mrs. Arviso, why do we have to use a pencil to write on our books?\" All of us band nerds know we MUST have a pencil on our stand and we MUST NOT write on our music with anything other than that pencil! Of all the explanations I've given them, I remind them that these books that have been so generously given to us, will in turn be given to the next group of kids as they embark on their first year of band.\r\n\r\n\"Reeds are expensive!\" I often hear from parents and students alike. Your contribution has helped me not spend so much of my own money as my kids work their way through countless of reeds. Thankfully, they are getting better at making them last! \r\n\r\nKids...they are the reason I do what I do. I'm glad I don't have to do it alone.
