Unfortunately, the original order for our new science tables was canceled, so my students have not yet had the opportunity to use the tables in our classroom. While this was disappointing, your generosity and support for my students are still very much appreciated.\r\n\r\nThese tables were chosen because our science classroom needs durable, reliable workspaces that can handle the hands-on learning we do throughout the year. My students regularly conduct investigations, build models, collect and analyze data, and work collaboratively in groups. Having uniform science tables will allow me to arrange students more effectively while giving them appropriate spaces for experiments and other activities.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue working toward getting the appropriate tables for our classroom. Once we have them, they will become an important part of our daily science instruction. They use their folders to practice naming letters and producing letter sounds, helping them build confidence and fluency. The new centers also give students opportunities to practice writing the alphabet in a fun and engaging way. The storage bins have been especially helpful for keeping our materials organized and easily accessible for students.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited to see the new materials! They loved having their own fluency folders and were eager to begin practicing with them. The new centers made practicing letters and writing feel more like a fun activity than a traditional lesson. They were especially excited to have new materials that they could use independently and with their classmates.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building strong foundational reading and writing skills. Students will continue practicing letter names and sounds in their fluency folders while working on writing the alphabet correctly and building their confidence with early literacy skills. As they become more fluent, we will begin applying these skills to reading and writing simple words.
