These materials have made an immediate impact on my students and how they engage with their work. When the watercolor sets, brushes, and paper arrived, there was a noticeable shift in excitement and focus. Students were eager to get started, and having enough quality materials for everyone allowed them to fully participate without having to wait, share limited supplies, or feel rushed.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest differences has been during our watercolor projects. With consistent materials like the Canson watercolor paper and class sets of paints, students have been able to focus on developing their skills in color mixing, layering, and brush control. The self-portrait mirrors have also been especially valuable, giving students the opportunity to observe closely and translate what they see into their work with more accuracy and confidence.\r\n\r\nThe additional supplies like pencils, erasers, and rulers have helped keep our classroom organized and running smoothly, which allows us to spend more time creating and less time managing materials. In P.E., the flag football belts have also helped keep students active and engaged during team activities, giving them more opportunities to participate and enjoy movement-based learning.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students are more confident, more focused, and more willing to take creative risks. We are continuing to build on these skills as we move into more advanced projects, and I am already seeing growth in both their technique and their mindset as learners.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and helping create a classroom where they can succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1768684426734,"projectUrl":"project/watercolor-pe/9982045/","projectTitle":"Watercolor & P.E.","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Cavaletto","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9621978_orig.jpg?crop=2578,2578,x0,y266&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722636825764","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9621978"},{"teacherId":10361019,"projectId":9922733,"letterContent":"The blessing of your donation has been present since the MacBook arrived. We quickly set it up, and the students used the QLab program to perform their current competition pieces at our annual Dessert Theatre. Currently, our Sound Crew is learning how to use the computer to run rehearsals for our musical \"Hadestown: Teen Edition,\" which will be opening in April. \r\n\r\nWhile we haven't been able to use our Clear-Com system yet, the first thing my Theatre Kids did was charge the batteries and test the limit at which communication could still be heard. We perform our musical into our Gym from our stage, and while we had a set of walkie-talkies, they were not consistent enough for us rely on them during the course of a performance. We were able to walk 7 headsets in multiple directions halfway across campus and still be able to hear each other clearly. When the girls saw we had mirrors for tryouts, they were ecstatic. The entire tryout process was much smoother because of them. The girls have more confidence when performing because they can see their form at practice. The selection of colors and supplies made their projects stand out and something they were proud to show the school and their families. Their hard work was on display at the school Art Walk, as shown in the photos.\r\n\r\nThank you for your generosity to my classroom. Your contribution has helped many students foster a love for the creation of art.
