The opportunity to have an assortment of books and pictures in the classrooms will allow me to share with my students my love for books. My students will have the opportunity to have FVR (free voluntary reading) and self select a text of their choosing in the target language. There is compelling evidence of the benefits of free reading in the target language. The books selected are engaging and appropriate for my 10th grade Spanish II class. Reading provides repetition, grammar structures and context that are engaging and help develop vocabulary in order to improve and use their communication skills.
