They will plant seeds, observe plant growth with hydroponic and root viewer kits, and use our cooking supplies and air fryer ovens to prepare healthy recipes using fresh ingredients. Students will practice science, math, teamwork, and real-world life skills while growing, harvesting, and cooking together.\r\n\r\nMy students were incredibly excited to see the cooking tools, gardening supplies, and new equipment. They immediately started asking questions about what we could grow and cook. Many students were amazed that they would get to be \"real chefs and gardeners\" while learning in the classroom. Their excitement and curiosity showed how meaningful hands-on learning can be.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to begin planting seeds, learning about plant life cycles, and exploring how food moves from the garden to our table. Students will create garden journals, track plant growth, learn kitchen safety, and prepare simple recipes. These experiences will help them build confidence, make connections across subjects, and develop lifelong healthy habits.
