My students like to be active while learning. At my school, we focus on learning through movement and incorporate movement through all subjects as much as possible. During Language Arts, my students enjoy sitting throughout the classroom and would benefit from flexible seating options such as floor puzzle pieces, yoga mats, and balance balls. Flexible seating helps my students engage in what they are learning and reading. Reading through the Iliad and The Odyssey are two pieces of literature that we are required to read through. My students are enjoying reading through the Iliad, but the adapted version found online is not optimal. Having an adapted version of the Iliad at their level along with The Odyssey would help them comprehend the events in both and would be a great addition to our classroom.
