I recently brought them out and used them during a \"kicking and trapping\" unit with my lower elementary students (1st-3rd grade). The students got SO excited to see the bright green balls. They could tell they were brand new and it gave me a chance to tell my students about DonorsChoose and tell them about your care and generosity in funding this project. The students felt so happy to hear there are members in our community that want to help improve their experiences at school. \r\n\r\nThe size 4 of these soccer balls made them MUCH easier for my younger students to handle and work on ball control than the older size 5 indoor soccer balls we have. We practiced things like dribbling, trapping the ball with the inside of their foot, passing to a partner with the inside of their foot, and shooting a goal. Because of this PE unit, some students have asked about starting an indoor soccer club after school, during which we would also use the soccer balls you purchased for us. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your time, money, and commitment to getting involved in public education.
