I want to give my students two different ways to improve their education in this project. The students in my environment benefit from the Montessori model and their ability to have movement in the classroom and small group lessons. However, there are still some that need some help with moving their bodies while focusing on their work. The bands for the chairs will give students the tool that they need to be able to have that movement without distracting others. The books are focusing on strong women throughout history and their stories that they can read themselves. These stories will be allowing the students to find heroes in books on courageous females that are at their reading level. I want to give my students the chance to read about people who have overcome something. It is important that students hear about women that have changed this world and also how they were ordinary people. I want to empower my students to be able to be the change they want to see in the world.
