My wiggly students now have quiet, appropriate opportunities to move their bodies while continuing to learn and stay engaged. I've loved watching students discover which seating choices help them feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn. Something as simple as having a choice in where they work has given many of my students greater independence and ownership of their learning. Students were immediately excited to explore the new seating options and couldn't wait to try them out. What has been even more special is seeing that excitement turn into thoughtful choices is that my young students are beginning to recognize what helps their bodies and brains learn best. They truly feel like these resources were added to make our classroom a better place for them to learn.\r\n\r\nWe are working toward becoming increasingly independent, responsible, and confident learners, and the flexible seating gives students one more tool to help them succeed.
