We spent plenty of time discussing good hygiene as a path to feeling great. We talked about how others also enjoy being around you when you look and smell clean. Many students know someone who could use a little support with self care items. They were excited to help share good hygiene with students who needed a helping hand as well as people in our community who need one.\r\n\r\nStudents volunteered their free time to pack toiletries, sanitary items and a few pieces of candy into individual baggies. Blue for boys and pink for girls! Then we made a plan to share in our communities. Some students already had a friend or neighbor identified who they could share the gift with. Some students wanted to bring the baggies in their car with their family in case they met a person who needed a helping hand. We also set up a hygiene closet in the Health Class bathroom. Any student who can't afford deodorant, sanitary napkins, or tooth care items is welcome to get an item from the closet. I know that students were excited to share in our community, but I also know that some of my students are in need of these items themselves. They were so excited and thankful to have the items and to be a part of this project.","fullyFundedDate":1764095990862,"projectUrl":"project/hygiene-products-for-all-5th-graders-and/9890613/","projectTitle":"Hygiene products for all 5th graders and more!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Seeman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3877376_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x213,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1691091859152","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3877376"},{"teacherId":1813143,"projectId":9844771,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my students.
