I let students choose their learning space based off of level of independence. If students are demonstrating that they are more independent in finishing tasks, using flex seating safely and correctly, staying on task, self-starting work, helping others, and following instructions they are able to move up on the levels of autonomy/independence. \r\n\r\nThe delivery of tables and chairs came quick after the order was placed. When I started moving it in with support from other staff members, the students became ecstatic! Anything new is SO exciting!! I made sure to model how to sit in each chair and use each table before allowing students to explore. After exploring and using the seating, students were able to evaluate how they felt when they sat in different places in the classroom.\r\n\r\nI am a strong believer that as long as students are finishing their work and on task, they can sit or stand to get it done! This flex seating has allowed more choices for my students to learn and man, this year they GREW!! I was looking at our core subjects0 math and reading data and I am so impressed and proud of them. Without your support, I bet the numbers would have been a bit lower.
