We also incorporate partner reading and teacher-led instruction to support all learners. The excitement these books have brought is truly special—students are more engaged, eager to share, and motivated to read for longer periods of time.\r\n\r\nSeveral students, in particular, have found a deep connection to these new books. Some who previously struggled to stay focused during reading time are now fully immersed because they see characters who look like them or share similar life experiences. One student proudly shared that it was the first time she felt like a book \"was about someone like me,\" which has boosted her confidence and enthusiasm for reading.
