Back on Giving Tuesday, you donated to help my classroom get group sets of popular books as well as a gift card to update some of our classroom consumable materials. These have been huge hits, and I wanted to share a little with you about how your donation has made an impact in our classroom! \r\n\r\nI was able to select group texts for our classroom based on my current students' interests and passions. We had a school-wide fundraiser called a Read-a-thon, so having books that they were excited about made it much easier to get some of my reluctant readers engaged. My class ended up reading the most minutes in the entire school! One of the students pictured got to finish a series that he'd started that our school library doesn't have thanks to your generosity. \r\n\r\nThe reason I got multiple copies of texts is because reading is more fun with friends! Many of my students got hooked on the Percy Jackson series this year alongside their buddies. I had to borrow more copies of this book from the teacher across the hall, so I'm thrilled to have a set to call my own for next year's kids. We'll end the year doing book clubs, so I have added some new titles to my library for kids to pick from. \r\n\r\nFinally, the gift card was extra awesome because I was able to pick some engaging materials to supplement our curriculum with! I love to integrate science and social studies into other areas of our day, so this gift card allowed me to find high-quality materials to bring Texas history to life during reading. I am so very grateful to each of you for your support of my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1764689346613,"projectUrl":"project/read-all-about-it/9910707/","projectTitle":"Read All About It!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McPherson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4507999_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1780846739607","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msmcpherson2"},{"teacherId":4507999,"projectId":9449032,"letterContent":"We are so grateful for your amazing support of our project!
