The dorm survival kits you helped fund were more than just bags of essentials; they were symbols of support, encouragement, and belief in each student's future. When the students received their kits, their faces lit up with surprise and pride. Many couldn't believe that people outside of their immediate families cared enough to invest in their journey beyond high school. It truly made them feel seen and celebrated.\r\n\r\nEach dorm kit was packed with practical items like towels, laundry supplies, bed sheets, body wash, detergent, USB drives, and many other things that are often overlooked but deeply needed as students prepare to live independently for the first time. One student shared that receiving her kit helped ease her anxiety about moving away from home, saying, \"Now I feel like I'm ready.\" Another said, \"This makes it feel real. I'm really going to college!\"\r\n\r\nThis project has created a ripple effect of confidence and hope. Many of our underclassmen who witnessed the celebration are now more motivated than ever to pursue postsecondary education, knowing that their community will stand behind them. The dorm kits were the final send-off, but the inspiration and momentum they created will last far beyond move-in day. Thank you for helping us close the school year with pride and purpose and for being a part of our students' next chapter.","fullyFundedDate":1745158477037,"projectUrl":"project/senior-signing-day/9133856/","projectTitle":"Senior Signing Day","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Santos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8657618_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743460682916","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8657618"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_64278","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1922,"numTeachers":93,"percentFrplEligible":66,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":68,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"20.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.2,"schoolId":64278,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Woodlawn High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Woodlawn High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maryland/baltimore-county-public-schools/woodlawn-high-school/64278"}
