Teaching children with special needs is not cookie cutter-we rely on hands on learning materials to create a visual environment that constantly changes to meet the unique needs of our amazing students.\r\n\r\nBy securing materials like card stock, laminating sheets, and a laminator we can ensure the never ending need for visuals, social stories, and task analyses (breaking down steps visually into small parts) can be created without funding the supplies out of pocket or asking families for donations.\r\n\r\nAnother big part of this project was musical instruments-although we have music once weekly, children with the disability of autism frequently love music and sometimes even learn basic skills through music.
