They allowed the groups to design and follow directions while working together to make something work. Our class this year is all about collaboration and working in groups to design things and solve problems. These kits were great because students learned one of the most important things to being an engineer, while having fun at the same time and building!\r\n One of the best parts about doing these activities is watching some of the quieter students really shine and have a voice in designing and working with peers. Some of my lower level students thrive in doing these types of activities. I feel like doing these types of things give them confidence so they can succeed and enjoy what they're doing at the same time. They even enjoy coming to class!
