The students love the wiggle bands, wobble feet, and floor cushions as options for flexible seating. I use it to teach small groups for reading and math. The students benefit a lot from getting this instruction.\r\n\r\nMy students were all very excited about the materials. They were in this classroom last year, so seeing all these new materials was a surprise and adjustment. They were all eager to use the new materials.\r\n\r\nThroughout the year, we will continue to put these materials to good use. Our classroom has begun doing stations, so having the kidney table gives my support teacher her own space to work with students. All students in Kindergarten to 5th grade at Wilson Elementary School were able to participate in the \"Kindness Project\" in Japanese class through your support. \r\n\r\nStudents chose a color of their choice with their glow sticks and glow rock. They reflected how they can show kindness through their words and actions in the school, family, or in the community. We wrote our acts of kindness on a piece of paper, turned off the classroom light and closed all the doors, and showed our bracelets and rock to learn that small acts of kindness can make a great impact in this world. \r\n\r\nUpon the pledges that were made in the classroom, I combined all students' kindness pledges into a large display that said \"Kindness Matters\" and \"Be Kind\". It was displayed on the cafeteria wall or the school hallway so all students, staff and parents were able to see it to remind the daily importance of kindness, empathy, and compassion. \r\n\r\nYour generosity helped create a powerful learning experience that our students will remember for many years to come.
