The leveled books you provided have already made a huge difference, and I wanted to share a few moments that show just how impactful your gift has been.\r\n\r\nHow we're using the new books\r\nWe introduced the books during our small-group reading time, and the students immediately gravitated toward them. The leveled sets have allowed me to match each child with stories that fit their reading abilities—giving them the perfect balance of challenge and confidence. This week, we began a \"Read & Share\" project where students choose a book at their level, practice reading it, and then share their favorite page or character with a partner.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments so far was when a student who has been hesitant during reading activities proudly read an entire book aloud to me and then whispered, \"I can read this all by myself!\" That spark of confidence was unforgettable and made possible because the books are just right for their learning stage.\r\n\r\nTheir reaction on Day 1\r\nWhen the students first saw the display of new books, they gasped—literally. Several children ran their hands across the covers, pointing to characters they recognized and pictures that caught their eye. A few immediately sat down on the rug and started \"reading\" together before I even gave instructions. Their excitement was pure, joyful, and contagious.\r\n\r\nWhat's next\r\nMoving forward, we're beginning our next classroom goal: building stamina during independent reading time. With these new leveled books, each child now has a selection they can truly engage with, making it easier for them to stay focused and grow as readers. We'll soon be creating \"My Favorite Book\" mini-posters, where students draw their favorite scene from a book they've mastered.\r\n\r\nThank you again for giving my young learners access to stories that empower them, excite them, and help them grow every single day. These collaborative experiences have strengthened classroom relationships and created a more supportive school community overall.\r\nFinally, portable basketball hoops have addressed a critical need for physical activity in an enjoyable, accessible format. Your thoughtfulness has transformed our classroom in a profoundly meaningful way, especially during small-group instruction, where the impact has been both immediate and significant.\r\n\r\nWhen the new table arrived, my students were thrilled beyond words! The excitement of having something new in our learning space reignited their enthusiasm for small group work. They couldn't wait to gather around it, and that energy continues each day.\r\n\r\nThe shape and layout of the table provide each student with a clear, defined workspace, which is essential for maintaining focus and minimizing distractions. Research indicates that physical space and structure play a crucial role in fostering student engagement and independence, particularly during small-group learning. This table promotes that structure beautifully.\r\n\r\nIt also allows me to maintain proximity to each student, which is crucial for providing timely, individualized feedback—a core element of effective small group instruction in both ELA and Math. Studies show that when students receive immediate feedback in a focused setting, they're more likely to stay on task, deepen their understanding, and make measurable progress.\r\n\r\nBefore, students were often cramped and distracted, as shared space made it difficult for them to concentrate. Now, they're more focused, engaged, and confident.
