These dictionaries have already boosted their confidence—they're speaking more during class discussions and using the visuals to strengthen their writing.\r\n\r\nThe excitement was contagious each time a package arrived. My students did a drumroll on the table before opening each box, and their faces lit up as they discovered the new colored folders and headphones. For many of them, having their own materials felt special, and they immediately began exploring the resources.\r\n\r\nWe are already putting everything to use. Students are updating their writing folders each week and are beginning to proudly see their progress build over time. Next, we'll be using the picture dictionaries to support a vocabulary-building project where students create illustrated word journals to track the language they are learning throughout the year. The storage bins have helped to keep our classroom organized and have a place for all of our materials. The laminator has been essential in helping to make materials last and durable. Making personal checklist for students that are laminated for them to check helps foster their independence. The day after a student would get a postcard, they would log in with a huge smile on their faces, thanking me for the mail and sticker or bookmark! \r\nNot only was it good for the kiddos, but it was good for me as well to be able to foster connections regardless of distance.
