We use the snacks during our morning learning block and small-group activities, when students need energy and focus the most. One moment that really stood out was during a reading and writing activity where students were working in groups to research healthy foods and create short posters about why those foods help our bodies and brains. Having the snacks available made it easy to tie the lesson directly to real-life choices, and students were excited to talk about nutrition while enjoying a healthy snack together.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement. Many of them were eager to explore the different snacks and were curious about the ingredients and how the foods help their bodies stay strong. It immediately sparked conversations about healthy choices, and students felt special knowing that people cared enough to support them in this way.\r\n\r\nNext, we plan to continue building on these ideas by connecting healthy eating with science and writing. Students will be working on a short project where they research a favorite healthy snack, write about how it helps the body, and share their findings with the class. This project will help strengthen their reading, writing, and presentation skills while reinforcing the importance of making healthy choices. We are so grateful to our donors for helping make these meaningful learning experiences possible for our students.","fullyFundedDate":1770750386874,"projectUrl":"project/snack-smart-learn-strong/10086414/","projectTitle":"Snack Smart, Learn Strong!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hatley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10348667_orig.jpg?crop=1077,1077,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762916733183","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10348667"},{"teacherId":10348667,"projectId":9891239,"letterContent":"We are overjoyed and so grateful for your generous support in fully funding our classroom project! Thanks to your contribution, our students now have their very own whiteboards, markers, dry erasers, grippers, and organizing pouches for their supplies. These materials have already transformed the way our students engage in class and small-group learning. Just this past week, students were using their whiteboards to practice quick addition and subtraction facts, as well as to explore tens and ones place value. They could easily write out problems, show their thinking, and correct mistakes instantly with their dry erasers. Seeing students actively solving problems, comparing strategies with peers, and celebrating each correct answer was such a joyful and energizing moment!\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the new supplies, their reactions were priceless—they were wide-eyed with excitement and couldn't wait to start using their whiteboards and markers. Many immediately organized their new materials in their pouches and shared with classmates how they were going to use them to improve their learning. It was a joyful reminder of how even small tools can inspire motivation, independence, and collaboration in the classroom.\r\n\r\nWith these resources, our next steps are to continue supporting students' active participation in small-group discussions and independent work. For example, as we move into our next ELA unit, students will use their whiteboards to brainstorm ideas, map story elements, and track character perspectives during reading. The tools you provided allow students to interact with content in real time, build confidence in their work, and collaborate meaningfully with peers. Your support has truly enriched our classroom environment, and we can't thank you enough for investing in our students' growth, creativity, and love of learning!","fullyFundedDate":1769177711336,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-tiny-thinkers/9891239/","projectTitle":"Tools for Tiny Thinkers!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hatley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10348667_orig.jpg?crop=1077,1077,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762916733183","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10348667"},{"teacherId":6760904,"projectId":9521810,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation and for your incredible support.
