The microscopes will help my students develop an understanding of the unseen, hidden world that is found at their fingertips. Using my personal set of commercially prepared slides, my students will be able to make authentic connections with a world that, without microscopes, they can only imagine. This technology will also enable them to conduct investigations of their own as they make and prepare their own specimens to explore, such as cheek cell slides. Microscopes will complement many aspects of my science curriculum from plants to animals, forensics, size, anatomy and cell biology.
