Because of your kindness, we were able to create a consistent and motivating system of incentives that has already made a big impact on our school community. \r\n\r\nThe students absolutely loved the items, and their faces lit up with excitement. We created mystery bags with the incentives that were donated and the students loved being able to do something fun like that. One student who had previously missed a couple of days and was unable to earn their reward for the month looked at me and said, \"I really want to earn a mystery bad next month, so I am going to come to school every single day\". This truly proves how much of an impact your support has done for our students and our school. \r\n\r\nWe've been using the incentives as part of a school-wide attendance campaign, with classroom check-ins, weekly goals, and celebration for improved attendance. During the 23-24 school year, we ended the year with 25% of our students being chronically absent. This year, with all of your support we were able to end the 24-25 school year at 16.5% of our students being chronically absent. That is a huge jump from where we were last year, and the lowest we have been for several years now.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to keep building momentum for the next school year and continuing to reward our students for all of their attendance goals. Your donation gave us more than just materials, it gave us hope, motivation, and a tangible way to support our school in building habits that will benefit them far beyond this school year. It has allowed more children to engage with tricycles, engaging in valuable gross motor development, a well as learning essential social skills such as turn taking, and cooperative play. \r\n\r\nOur students were so excited to see the additional Big Wheel (we only had one previously) and the new trike, as with the added students in our program this year students didn't always have a chance to have a turn. Some of them immediately started organizing a \"race track,\" while others simply wanted to ride around and explore. It was truly exciting to witness their enthusiasm and how quickly they began sharing and taking turns.\r\n\r\nAs part of or unit on Environmental Print, we created a mini \"city\" where students used their learning about signs, riding their trikes through buildings they created from boxes, following the \"road\" and following the traffic signs to navigate to their destinations.
