The great thing about them is that they easily erase when students make a mistake and correct it. \r\n\r\nWe have used our glue sticks many times as well this year so far to glue together interactive notebooks for our reading units as well as graphing in math. It has made things so much easier in our classrooms to share coloring materials in our classrooms that are packed with 28 students in each of our rooms. \r\n\r\nThe plastic folders were also a godsend! We each picked a color and it has made things so much easier for students to bring a folder back and forth to their reading or math class. It is slowly teaching them responsibility to keep track of a folder daily. \r\n\r\nWe could not have had such a smooth and successful start to the year without your help. We use whiteboards a lot in our learning and the markers have helped jump start our learning. The pencils were a shock to us because although we knew how many pencils we were ordering, to see these giant boxes of them come in were amazing! The kids all responded with \"wow! That's a lot of pencils\". They were in awe as well as appreciative. One of my students told me they were able to use the money they would have spent on school supplies on new gym shoes for the year. This is one of many examples as to why I made this project so that our families could get what they needed without worrying about buying supplies.
