The tables have been painted to look like space, creating a fun learning space. The size of the tables allows us to change configurations from everyone facing the front to groups of 4-6 students. Students also have the ability to get up and move around the room to complete more active lessons.\r\n\r\nThe students that I had last year were so excited to see the new tables. We have even gotten compliments from the high school students that have come by. They requested we open the boxes just like a youtuber doing an unboxing video. They were excited with every new item that came out of those boxes. The snacks, like fruit gummies and granola bars, were a big hit—especially during state testing. They helped students stay energized and focused through long testing sessions. It was a small but meaningful boost that made a big difference in their stamina and overall mood during a stressful time.\r\n\r\nIn class, the students dove right into using the red and green pens to review and revise their work. This simple tool gave them a visual way to reflect on their learning and correct mistakes, which really improved their understanding. They also used colorful markers to make their notes and assignments more visually engaging. It's amazing how a splash of color can make learning more fun and help students feel proud of their work.\r\n\r\nThe rulers became an unexpected favorite! Students used them to create neat, straight lines for graphic organizers and class charts—they're surprisingly particular about getting everything perfectly aligned. It's been wonderful to see them take ownership of their work with such care and precision. Next, we'll be using these tools as we move into new group projects that involve research, collaboration, and presenting their ideas creatively. Using their iPads, they'll research specific animals and their roles as producers, consumers, and decomposers. Finally, we requested a clicker for the classroom, and the students love using it to point at the periodic table or a specific part of the notes on the board.
