The Surf Lap desks that you provided for us have truly helped my students make our classroom functional for their learning. 5th graders really like to move, and our classroom doesn't have a lot of space. Being able to use the Surf Lap Desks to sit on the floor while still having a surface to write on, read from, or even use their Chromebooks on has made so much of a difference. Also, by having the colorful sand timers with a variety of times available and the various fidgets that you provided, my students have been able to better manage and regulate their needs. It is essential that my students learn what they need in order to regulate themselves, and since they will soon be in middle school, I encourage them to take steps towards self-regulation that can be done independently and as they feel the need. By having sand timers and fidgets available for the students at all times, they are able to select a time frame to take a break and can monitor the time and determine their needs as they go.
