My joy is in helping preschoolers age 3, 4 and 5 find their voices and gain skills to interact with others. It makes my heart swell to have a child tell their parent a story that the parent can understand, to have a child ask a friend to play, or for a turn with the red fire truck and to be successful! I have been a public elementary school speech therapist for 14 years. My office is filled with toys and games that draw children in to me, make them want to ask, tell, question and engage. But COVID-19 has thrown a wrench into my therapy style. My toys and games don’t work on a computer screen and I’m left searching for new ways. My district does not have funds to provide materials and budgets are shrinking. Would you help me acquire some new materials? Teachers Pay Teachers has a trove of digital materials that would help me help children find their voice. The time we’ve spent away from schools is critical development time that’s been lost. I don’t want to waste another minute.
