The log pillows have added cozy seating that gives children another way to relax and feel comfortable throughout the day.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful changes has been the sunlight through the trees light covers. Our classroom does not have windows, so these beautiful lights create the feeling of looking outside into nature. They bring a peaceful, natural atmosphere into a space that previously felt much more closed in. The softer, dimmed lighting also provides valuable sensory support for our children.\r\n\r\nWe have a high number of children with special needs and developmental delays, and creating an environment that is calm and sensory-friendly can make a tremendous difference. The softer lighting, comfortable textures, and peaceful atmosphere help reduce the overwhelming feeling that bright classroom lighting can sometimes create. The classroom is doing great because of donors like you. The children love all the stem related toys that we received from or project at the beginning of the new year. With nearly half the roster being children with special needs the stem toys help them to gain better fine motor development, hand and eye coordination while getting a better understanding of cause and effect.
