Using oversized stackable blocks (Wild Sports Stackers XL Game like jenga), students will play a fun game to review reading skills throughout the year. Using color coded task cards that will differentiate a range of abilities, questions will be appropriate for any student. I will paint the ends of the blocks. When a student answers a review question correctly, they will pull a color coded block from the stack. The object of the game is don’t tumble the tower while practicing a variety of reading skills. This hands on game will engage students and encourage them to use skills learned outside of basic worksheets and books.
