This has helped me to give students a scientific phenomenon for them to think about before beginning a unit or topic. It allows me to see any misconceptions that they might have and allow me to create questions that can guide students to better understand those concepts. \r\n\r\nFor example, the students were learning about how tides occur. Many students didn't understand how the tides are formed on Earth. From this information, the students asked lots of questions and we were able to answer some from the knowledge of the students in the room. We have been able to narrow down our research questions.","fullyFundedDate":1742247263283,"projectUrl":"project/uncovering-student-ideas/8950120/","projectTitle":"Uncovering Student Ideas","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Taylor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1469336_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1473304770078","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/t-taylor11"},{"teacherId":1469336,"projectId":8760001,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project that completed the hydroponic garden.
