Thanks to your grant, our classroom has been equipped with a new laminator, a magnetic shelf, individual student whiteboards, and dry-erase erasers. Your contribution is far more than just a donation of school supplies; it is a direct investment in the daily learning, engagement, and academic success of my students.\r\n\r\nIn a classroom, interactive and hands-on learning tools are essential for keeping students active and engaged in their education. The individual whiteboards and erasers you provided have instantly transformed our daily routine. Before receiving these supplies, checks for understanding often relied on traditional paper-and-pencil tasks or calling on one student at a time. Now, with individual whiteboards in every student's hands, I can ask a question, give students a moment to work through a problem, and have everyone hold up their answers simultaneously. This allows for immediate, non-intimidating feedback, enabling me to see who has mastered a concept and who needs extra support right away. Furthermore, writing on dry-erase boards reduces the fear of making mistakes; students feel freer to try, erase, and try again, which fosters a growth mindset and builds confidence—especially for those who struggle with anxiety surrounding written work.\r\n\r\nThe new laminator has also made a tremendous difference in how we prepare and preserve learning materials. I am now able to create durable, high-quality visual aids that will last for years to come. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, the magnetic shelf has brought much-needed organization and accessibility to our main instructional area. \r\n\r\nThank you once again for your incredible kindness and commitment to supporting educators and students. Your generosity makes a tangible, everyday impact in our classroom, and we are profoundly grateful for your partnership in education.","fullyFundedDate":1784572083597,"projectUrl":"project/new-classroom-supplies/10385130/","projectTitle":"New Classroom Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cook","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8278473"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_33385","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":186,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":55,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":82,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"7 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":33385,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wayne High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Wayne High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/wayne-county-school-district/wayne-high-school/33385"}
