Students learn by doing. By allowing labs to take place in the classroom it helps students understand the content that is presented in class. I will use the fetal pig to teach about animal systems and how the boy works. Students will have the opportunity to see the parts in an actual animal rather than trying to imagine how they got together and inter-relate. They owl pellets will be used to teach ecology and food webs and chains. The students will take create their own based on the skeletal parts they.
