Students have been loving coming to the library and discovering the many things they can create in the Makerspace! We recently received a new 3D printer, and this filament allows students to create their designs as they imagined them. \r\n\r\nWe are looking forward to all of the ways that students will be able utilize these new filaments with our 3D printers to make their creations come to life. This year, the library is partnering with science and art classes for students to design and create their own 3D prints. We also have a lot of students who come to the library independently to 3D print. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and support! The pencil sharpener has eliminated a ton of plastic sharpeners and saved so much time during class. The students are so happy they can just sharpen once now! The books have also been an incredible addition to the classroom. I made sure to add them to our classroom library as soon as they arrived, and students have been enjoying them almost nonstop ever since.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest impacts I have seen from this project is in the Indigenous students I teach. Many of the books you generously donated included a significant amount of Indigenous representation, and that has made a huge difference in how students are feeling about reading this year. Many students have told me that they have only read one or two books with Indigenous characters, so it has been hugely beneficial to give them the opportunity to feel represented. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, students of all backgrounds have been enjoying our new classroom library additions. We have just begun our work on History Day projects, and the books have been incredibly helpful in helping students learn to research outside of the internet. I'm already so excited to see what they come up with!\r\n\r\nThank you so very much for your support of my classroom and all the students who study in it.
