During our first craft-based library lesson, students were amazed to discover that each table now had its own organized caddy of supplies. Instead of waiting their turn or borrowing worn-down materials, they were able to dive straight into their projects with excitement and confidence.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite moments came during a lesson on character traits. Students created \"character trading cards,\" illustrating and describing their favorite book characters. With the new materials at their fingertips, even some of our hesitant readers became enthusiastic participants, proudly decorating their cards and sharing them with classmates. The availability of fresh supplies helped them express their ideas more fully and feel ownership over their creative work.\r\n\r\nThese materials will continue to support upcoming library lessons, including book-themed crafts, research projects, and interactive storytelling activities. Thanks to your generosity, our library has become a space where creativity and literacy grow together. Your support truly enriched our students' experience, giving them the tools to explore stories in deeper and more meaningful ways.","fullyFundedDate":1755729269161,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-library-fun/9548580/","projectTitle":"Tools for Library Fun!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Long","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9662884"},{"teacherId":4876079,"projectId":9624356,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. We are deeply grateful, and I want you to know just how much of a difference your contribution has made in our classroom. The new books we received have already become such a valuable resource for both small groups and whole-class lessons. The students and I have truly loved having them, and I wanted to take the time to share the impact they are making every single day.\r\n\r\nIn small groups, these books have been an incredible tool for guiding meaningful conversations. Many of the stories provide examples and scenarios that children can relate to in their own lives, and this creates an opening for us to talk about coping skills, problem-solving strategies, and ways to handle big emotions. Children are often more willing to open up when they see a character experiencing something similar to what they are going through. Having a story to reflect on takes the pressure off and allows them to talk about their feelings in a safe, comfortable way. These books are helping my students develop the social and emotional skills that are so essential for their growth—not only as learners but also as kind and thoughtful people.\r\n\r\nDuring our classroom lessons, the books have become a central part of our routine. I make it a point to read one aloud in nearly every lesson. The stories serve as a springboard for discussion, helping students connect academic concepts with real-world experiences. Reading together fosters a sense of community in the classroom and brings learning to life. When students listen to a story, they are not only building literacy skills but also developing empathy, understanding, and perspective-taking. I often notice the quietest students raising their hands to share their thoughts after we read, which shows how powerful these books truly are.","fullyFundedDate":1744204687349,"projectUrl":"project/stories-that-inspire-and-empower/9234999/","projectTitle":"Stories That Inspire and Empower","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Boring","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3715095_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1628034963295","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3715095"},{"teacherId":3715095,"projectId":8681384,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations.
