The furniture and clear bins will help create a space that is organized and promotes learning. Students will be able to quickly visualize what materials are available for them to access. Young children need a learning environment that is structured but gives them a chance to explore and practice autonomy. The other materials I have requested will provide meaningful experiences to the children’s learning. The alphabet tracing board will allow students to practice writing letters with guidance and visual support and then promotes the independent practice. The gumball grab will be a fun way for students to sort by attribute (color). Additionally, the students will get excellent fine motor practice, promoting correct pencil grip. The water beads will be used in a sensory tub for students to manipulate, explore, and build knowledge using numerous senses.
