We have been reading and rereading all of our new books. Each time, the students laugh and love it like it's the first time they've heard it. They will often choose to look at the books when they finish their work early and it's heartwarming to see them enjoy the books with each other. Having a love of books early on in a student's education can make a big difference in their confidence and willingness to become a reader. \r\n\r\nAnother donation that has been helpful is the headphones. Before we had the new headphones, we would have to share them during our group rotations. This would mean that every day when we had to switch groups, I would have to stop the learning in my group to help students switch. Now, students are able to switch groups seamlessly and the learning continues. We are also grateful for the white boards and the white board markers - probably the students' favorite donation! We have been using them every day to practice letter formation and be writers.","fullyFundedDate":1736995383912,"projectUrl":"project/ms-lemons-kinder-classroom/9045574/","projectTitle":"Ms. Lemon's Kinder Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lemon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9890819"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78406","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":469,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":84,"percentAsian":8,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":50,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":24,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"23.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":88.5,"schoolId":78406,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Washington Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Washington Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/eureka-city-unified-school-district/washington-elementary-school/78406"}
