Our school borders a beautiful redwood forest and reflects that big, expansive environment. We live in what is considered a rural area. We are the largest elementary school in our region. Our families come from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds, with the majority of our families falling in the poverty range of that scale. Our class is packed full of 27 eager to learn 6-7-year-old students. I'm happy to say that it is also filled with great educational resources. Unfortunately, many of these valuable resources are formatted for "old school" technology. We need to replace some of our "old school" technology in order to utilize the resources we have in class. May sound funny.....but at this time we are looking for less bells and whistles, and more basic tools to enhance our learning environment.
