It has been just over 1 month of school and the benefits of this have been amazing. \r\n\r\nFor starters, every students has \"{their spot\" which provides a consistent routine that my students thrive off of. We have learned social skills such as managing our bodies and controlling our impulses. This has been able to occur through the natural conversations and occurrences as a result of our rug. \r\n\r\nMy students LOVE getting to sit and learn on the rug. When given the choice to listen from their desks of the rug. Over 75% of my students consistently choose the rug. \r\n\r\nI did not have this in my classroom last year, and I wish I had it sooner.
