Your support has made an immediate and meaningful impact on our students.\r\n\r\nOur students are using the new basketball hoop every single day, and it has quickly become a valuable part of our school environment. During recess and structured playtime, students are not only learning how to play basketball, but they are also developing important life skills such as sportsmanship, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication. One special moment that stood out was watching a group of students organize their own game. They created teams, set rules, and worked through disagreements respectfully. It was incredible to see them apply these skills independently while supporting one another.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the basketball hoop, their excitement was immediate. They were cheering, smiling, and eager to start playing. For many of our students, this was a brand-new experience, and it brought so much joy and energy to our campus.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we plan to build on this opportunity by incorporating more structured activities focused on teamwork, leadership, and good sportsmanship. We hope to introduce small tournaments and team-building challenges that will continue to strengthen students' collaboration and communication skills.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided our students with more than just a place to play—it has created opportunities for growth, connection, and learning that will have a lasting impact.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support and for making a difference in the lives of our students.","fullyFundedDate":1766527669355,"projectUrl":"project/hoops-for-hope-building-teamwork-throug/9670434/","projectTitle":"Hoops for Hope: Building Teamwork Through Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kane","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9547397"},{"teacherId":10012871,"projectId":9708110,"letterContent":"Our students are super appreciative of your donations for our zoo adventure! We could not have done it without your support. Your donations allowed us to take a trip to the Phoenix Zoo, OVERNIGHT, and do so while being comfortable and having the most fun! We were also able to have students not attending the zoo trip get a glimpse into what camping might be like. Your support of our school means everything to us!. \r\n\r\n\r\nOur first grade, second grade, and third grade students got a glimpse into camping life after I turned my classroom into a campsite with the materials donated. We sat around our \"bonfire\" and read stories together. They were very surprised and excited to see our camp playset and learn about camping. We used smelly stickers provided to make the experience more real as they learned what camping looks like, smells like, and sounds like. They enjoyed telling each other spooky stories and camp fire related jokes with the books we were given. We can't wait to do the same activity again soon. \r\n\r\nOur other students were allowed to stay the night at the Phoenix Zoo. Before setting up camp they participated in several STEM activities and even met some animals up close! After these activities and FOOD, our students were so tired! Without the sleeping bag donations, our students would have been sleeping on solid concrete as most of our families are unable to purchase their own camping materials. Students each had their own special place to sleep while listening to the lions roar in the distance. They also appreciated having flashlights, night lights, and light up bracelets as we went to sleep to comfort them in the dark, especially our younger campers. After sleeping on our comfortable sleeping bags over night, students were thrilled to be given binoculars to see the animals more easily as we explored the zoo. \r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for all of the supplies given to us through donors choose! Over the past year, we have been intentionally working to create a space where students not only have access to books, but feel excited and motivated to read them. By building our school library, we are putting books directly into students' hands—giving them the opportunity to explore new worlds, discover new interests, and grow their confidence as readers.\r\n\r\nCreating an environment where students can browse, check out books, and enjoy quiet reading time has transformed the way they engage with literature. Thanks to the recent funding for flexible seating, our students now have cozy, welcoming spaces where they can curl up with a good book, focus comfortably, and truly enjoy the reading experience. When students feel relaxed and empowered to choose what they read, their motivation and enjoyment increase naturally.\r\n\r\nThe impact is already visible: more students are checking out books, reading during free moments, and talking with friends about what they're reading. Our library is becoming a place of curiosity, comfort, and excitement—a space where the love for reading grows each day.\r\n\r\nBy investing in books, creating an inviting library environment, and offering flexible seating, we are helping students see reading not as a task, but as something joyful, meaningful, and uniquely theirs.","fullyFundedDate":1755484466825,"projectUrl":"project/ignite-the-love-for-reading/9406227/","projectTitle":"Ignite the Love for Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kane","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9547397"},{"teacherId":10023358,"projectId":9329444,"letterContent":"It has brought me so much joy to see these kids expressing their creativity and working together to build amazing creations. Your generous support of my classroom has helped my students build positive relationships with each other and has really strengthened our class community.\r\n\r\nWhen I showed them our new materials, they all went bananas and could barely decide what to play with first. Their favorite toy has probably been the playdough tools. We had playdough last year, but they would get bored quickly because I didn't have anything extra for them to use. The playdough tools have not only lengthened the time they are engaged with the playdough, but have also greatly expanded their imaginations. They often have a restaurant contest and make me cookies, pizzas, donuts, and a whole bunch of other creations.\r\n\r\nTruly, thank you for your support of our classroom. This has made such a difference for my kids, and I am blessed every day to watch them thrive in our classroom enviroment.","fullyFundedDate":1750256103407,"projectUrl":"project/create-positive-student-connections-with/9329444/","projectTitle":"Create Positive Student Connections With Engaging Games!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Touchet","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10023358"},{"teacherId":2035633,"projectId":8646787,"letterContent":"Wireless mice have made a meaningful difference in how my students interact with technology. Many of my students struggle with using laptop trackpads, which can make digital learning frustrating and slow. With wireless mice, students are able to navigate programs more easily, click and drag with accuracy, and complete assignments with greater confidence.\r\n\r\nThese tools allow students to focus on the learning itself rather than the difficulty of controlling the device. Whether they are practicing math skills, completing writing assignments, or working on online assessments, the wireless mice help them work more independently and efficiently.\r\n\r\nBecause they are wireless, they also keep our workspace organized and allow students to move devices easily during small group work and centers. Overall, these simple tools have increased engagement, reduced frustration, and helped students build important technology skills they will use throughout their education.\r\n\r\nIf you'd like, I can also give you a more heartfelt DonorsChoose-style version (the kind that tends to connect really well with donors).","fullyFundedDate":1727405324371,"projectUrl":"project/eeek-mice-tails-everywhere/8646787/","projectTitle":"EEEK!
