The student's faces lit up with joy and surprise as I opened the boxes and showed the classroom the new big drums. Each and every elementary grade was overjoyed to use both their hands and mallets to bang on the drum and make their own beats. These drums have been used for multiple learning activities in the classroom for students as young as 5 years old and as old at 15! \r\n\r\nAs a K-12 teacher, even some of the older juniors and seniors are constantly touching the drums and wanting to make new beats with them. Students enjoy the fact that this drum is for THEM. That some strangers wanted them to have a better learning experience in music. These drums will continue to be used on a daily basis in my classroom for all students. It aids in learning rhythm, steady beat, improvisation, and so many other important music tools. I cannot express enough gratitude towards each and every donor.
