We were able to order organization bins to store finished art projects by class while they dried. Kindergarten has been practicing cutting and making scissor salads! They love coming to my pretend store to purchase paper lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onions, and croutons for their salad collages. We store them in the bins until we are ready to work on them the following week. \r\n\r\nWe were also able to purchase bottles with little nozzles to help with making our 2nd grade ice cream sculptures. This will make this unit more efficient and cut down on cleaning time as I only have 5 minutes in between classes. I'm really excited to have a smoother process for them.\r\n\r\nAnother thing that has been a hit with all grade levels is the punch cards I purchased with some of the money. If they work together to follow directions and behave in art class they receive a hole punched in their card. If they receive 7 then they will get an art party. This will be a whole class period of stations. They are working hard to receive those punches in their card.\r\n\r\nThis month we are also starting to teach Social Emotional Learning lessons every Friday. I will be able to use the books that were purchased to teach all of my students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. I love sitting in my rocking chair and reading to the students as they relax on the floor. I can also share these books with the other special area teachers if they are needing a story to go with their SEL lessons. Our students will learn how to regulate their nervous system and I think this will have lasting effects in our community.","fullyFundedDate":1749655690256,"projectUrl":"project/organization-social-emotional-learning/9402898/","projectTitle":"Organization & Social-Emotional Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dellinger","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7856803_orig.jpg?crop=750,750,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705759326611","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7856803"},{"teacherId":9474965,"projectId":8465714,"letterContent":"I sincerely want to thank you for your generous contribution to our class and our student's love for all things STEM!
