Libraries are called Media Centers to reflect the broad scope of resources they provide. I get to be the weekly teacher of 450+ students who not only engage in the magic of books, but get to experience the broader scope of media, which will include interactive manipulatives like the magnet building sets I would like to add to my library. Students can engage in their own story-making by building people, creatures and places with these magnet sets that can take them places like the words of a story might do!
