When engaged in tests or quizzes, students enjoy borrowing fidgets and using chair bands. When I am setting a calm environment in the class, I use dim light to help set a safe tone. The \"wobble chairs\" have been a great addition to the room. Students can earn \"bucks\" to \"rent\" the wobble chairs, and can also use them if they ask.\r\n\r\nWhen my students saw the new additions to our class, they were so excited and grateful! The equipment that was donated has made a huge impact in our classes and after school programs. Prior to your donation we had a big interest in practicing volleyball but did not have the equipment for students to practice their sport. We now have an adequate amount of volleyballs for our PE classes so that all students have access to practicing and improving their game. \r\n\r\nWe were also in great need for badminton birdies for our students to practice during PE. Later this February we will be working to defend our undefeated title for the third year in a row. The additional birdies have allowed our students to start practicing for the season that they are extremely passionate and excited for. \r\n\r\nLastly, I want to share the impact that you had for our boys basketball team. Not only did the additional basketballs allow our boys to get in those extra shots at basketball, but they were so unbelievably proud of our new high end equipment. I have never seen those boys take such great care and responsibility for their equipment before. We enjoy playing games with the white boards. Our class loves learning Spanish with games. I also utilize them for small group instruction. It is a fun way to review and engagement is high automatically.\r\n\r\nAt this time we are reading The Giver is Spanish Language Arts. It is wonderful novel for middle school students.
