One of their favorite activities has been using the play dough during sensory time. Students enjoy squeezing, rolling, and shaping the play dough, which gives them an opportunity to strengthen their fine motor skills while also engaging in a calming and enjoyable sensory activity.\r\n\r\nWe have also been using the \"My First Daily Calendar\" during circle time to help students learn about the days of the week, classroom routines, and concepts of time. The large felt board and learning pieces make the lesson more interactive and give students opportunities to participate by touching, matching, sorting, and identifying different items.\r\n\r\nThe Fine Motor Skills Handy Scooper Set and Sensory Bin Filler have been especially helpful for hands-on learning. Students use the scoopers, tweezers, scissors clips, sorting bowls, and plush balls to practice grasping, sorting, counting, and transferring objects. These activities support both fine motor development and early academic skills in a fun and engaging way.\r\n\r\nThe students were very excited when they first saw the new materials! They were eager to explore the different colors, textures, and activities. Some students immediately reached for the sensory materials, while others were excited to participate in the calendar and sorting activities. Seeing their curiosity and excitement made the new resources even more meaningful for our classroom.\r\n\r\nWe are also using the reusable dry-erase pockets to organize and store classroom materials and learning activities. They allow us to keep materials accessible and organized while giving us the flexibility to reuse visual supports and activities with different students.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue incorporating these resources into our daily lessons and small-group activities. We will use the calendar to strengthen students' understanding of daily routines and time, sensory and play dough activities to support regulation and fine motor development, and the sorting and scooping activities to build counting, matching, and independence skills.
