We are now able to have equipment that we did not have before. Many of the athletes that I work with, struggle either financially or academically, but have an outlet by participating in extracurricular activities like Track.\r\n\r\nNot only do they need to meet specific academic requirements to participate, I also hold them to a higher standard for behavior in the classroom and on the Track.\r\n\r\nWe are using the cones to mark the distances for long jump, shot put and discus, all which have minimums in order for the athletes to score. These events also require measuring tapes to measuring the distance.
